How to print Etching Aquatint Bag
My Youtube clip shows you how to print etching, aquatint on cotton bag.
Before start, please prepare: Cotton bag, Etching ink, Printing paper, Tissue paper and your plate
1.Ink on your plate. Here I use Charbonnel Prussian blue oil based.
2.Bag can be slightly wet. Insert a wet printing paper, appx 250-300g/, together with a sheet of tissue paper. They work as inner cushion.
3.Place the bottom of bag ahead towards the press cylinder.
4.Spread a towel near by the bag handles as it absorbs squeezed water. This protect the blanket from damping.
5.Then press the bag. Take the inner paper out from the bag. Go out to the street with your art!
Here the copperplate is electroplated by chrome which makes the surface strong enough to make hundreds edition, although you can print your bag without chrome surface.
You could ask your local professionals and also about price.
You can wash the bag by machine but not by a longer time mode. Frequent use of your bag can deteriorate the image by fading, although the nature of the pigment lasts for many years and colour fastness is not caused if it were used as vase mat and so on.
Here these bags are available in my web shop.

EDO Prussian Blue
Diesbach in Berlin invented Prussian blue in 1706. It spread fast over the world, via Holland, and arrived and was started using by Ukiyo-e artists in the early 19th century. This pigment and hue changed strategy for Hokusai, Eisen, Hiroshige and Utagawa school artists. This text profiled images through digital data bases from the word museums and galleries and followed transition of the spread of the blue and the birth of masterpieces from end of Bunsei to Tempo period (1829-1831.)
I would very much appreciate to all resources and authors that brought me the initial perspective over this investigation. Not necessary to say this text is owning a lot by their endeavours. Names and references are all marked in the quotations at each paragraph.
