1st Macau Printmaking Triennial

Date: 17th November, 2012 / 17:00~ Grand Opening and Prize Reception
Venue: Old Court Building, Avenida da Praia Grande, Macao


The Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government has organised the 1st Macau Printmaking Triennial for the purpose of facilitating the international exchange of culture and arts, and encouraging local printmaking creation. It plans to invite a total of 11 countries and regions – namely, the Chinese Mainland, Japan, Singapore, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao - assembling some 100 renowned printmaking artists from these various places to jointly participate in and display their works in the Triennial. As this is the 1st Macau Printmaking Triennial, the Cultural Affairs Bureau will use Asia as the starting point, introducing participants to the development status of printmaking in Asia and establishing an exchange platform for the region’s printmaking circles.

Cosmology of Blue and White / Escola Catolica Estrela do Mar Macau 2012

 Four days workshop was held in classes of 3rd form student at Escola Catolica Estrela do Mar Macau , including teachers' session during the last week in February.  In Macau, despite its old quater is widely known as World Heritage and 16 century decoration tiles, there is no tile workshop, either one for designing. This trial session became presumably the first teaching course for Macanese students and the classes were full of enthusiasm.
